Immunocytochemistry (ICC) is a laboratory technique used to detect the presence and localization of specific antigens (proteins or other molecules) in individual cells. Similar to immunohistochemistry (IHC), which is used on tissue samples, ICC is used on cell suspensions or cell cultures to identify specific proteins or biomarkers within the cells. This technique uses antibodies tagged with a detectable marker, such as an enzyme or a fluorescent dye, to visualize the antigen of interest.
