Gamma GT
Over the last 5 Years we made an impact that is strong & we have long way to go.
Gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), also known as gamma GT, is an enzyme found primarily in the liver, but it is also present in other organs like the kidneys, pancreas, and spleen. It plays an essential role in the metabolism of glutathione (an antioxidant) and the transport of amino acids across cell membranes. The GGT test is a blood test used to measure the level of GGT in the bloodstream. Elevated levels of this enzyme can indicate liver or biliary tract disorders, while low levels typically do not signify any health concern.
