CSF For Herpes (HSV) IgM

The Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) HSV IgM test detects IgM antibodies against Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1 & HSV-2) in the cerebrospinal fluid. Since IgM antibodies are produced early in infection, this test is used to detect recent or acute HSV infections affecting the central nervous system (CNS).
