Calprotectin (Stool)
Over the last 5 Years we made an impact that is strong & we have long way to go.
Calprotectin is a protein found in white blood cells, and its presence in stool (fecal calprotectin) is used as a biomarker to detect inflammation in the intestines. This test helps differentiate between inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and non-inflammatory conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
