HVS For AFB Stain/ZN Stain

The High Vaginal Swab (HVS) AFB/ZN Stain detects acid-fast bacilli (AFB), primarily Mycobacterium tuberculosis, in vaginal infections. A positive result suggests genital TB, requiring AFB culture, PCR (GeneXpert), and TB treatment.
