The HBV DNA by PCR (Qualitative) test is a molecular diagnostic test used to detect the presence of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA in a patient’s blood sample. This test is highly sensitive and is used to confirm an HBV infection, even in cases where other tests, such as HBsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen), may not provide clear results.
