A finger swab for culture and sensitivity (C/S) is typically done to collect a sample from the surface of a wound or lesion on a finger (or other parts of the body) for laboratory testing. The goal is to identify any bacteria, fungi, or other pathogens present in the sample and determine which antibiotics or antifungal treatments may be effective against the infection.
